We have an open role for a Creative Director. In addition to a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding, we’re looking for an experienced manager of people, who will inspire the team and take our creative strategy services to a new level. The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of audiences and experience developing brands from concept through many forms of execution. This role is responsible for developing the agency's creative team, both internally and utilizing external partners and contractors. This leader will develop and evolve agency creative processes for new concept development, visual and brand identity development, naming and other creative strategy, ensuring that the agency brings a high level of creative thinking and revenue driving results to every project. 8+ years of agency experience.
Creative Process & Strategic Thinking
Has developed a sophisticated understanding of branding and design and can lead internal and external creative process for successful outcome
Continually growing in knowledge of and ability to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and new or improved deliverables.
Leads brand discussions, client meetings, brainstorms and development of client deliverables.
Can align and articulate the link between creative work and strategic foundations and insights.
Displays thought leadership and can articulate and improve Carbonate’s market profile.
Self motivated to seek out opportunities to learn, both personally and for the team.
Branding & Design Expertise
Ability to build, lead, and review work across web, print, and digital marketing collateral
Capability to spearhead and manage content strategy for a variety of projects and types of clients, with experience in video-editing as well as animation/motion graphic work
Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with special considerations to: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & AfterEffects
Portfolio reflects various branding projects and/or brand campaigns launched over print and/or digital media
Experience in rendering (using Blender or equivalent software) a plus
Experience in print production and preparation of press-ready files
Some knowledge of social media management (Facebook, Instagram) preferred

This is a work-from-home role, with approximately 25% travel.

We currently have team members in San Francisco, Cincinnati, and Durham. Location is flexible for this role, but would ideally be located in Cincinnati, San Francisco or New York.
