Account Director, Social Media
Overview:
Carbonate is a national creative agency specializing in food, beverage, restaurants, hotels & hospitality tech. From brand strategy and identity design to social media and brand communications, we work with a range of clients to build, reinvigorate, and grow brands.
We are seeking an Account Director, focused on Social Media., who is experienced leading social media accounts within an agency environment and has a detailed understanding of social media platforms and current social media trends. An Account Director will lead integrated digital marketing campaigns across organic and paid social media as well influencer partnerships.
Supervising a team of three social media coordinators, this role will be responsible for 8 to 10 accounts, working closely with other account strategists and agency leadership to ensure top notch social media strategy and direction.
This candidate should have senior manager level experience with social media management & community engagement, content calendars & creative briefing, and influencer scouting, negotiating & partnerships. Ideally, they will have a passion for -- and experience working with -- hospitality, food or beverage clients.
Requirements:
7- 10 years of relevant agency experience
Bachelor’s Degree required
Mastery of Meta platforms and LinkedIn
Experience with Klear, Tagger, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, a plus
Proficient in Google Suite & common social media tools
Ideally based in Cincinnati; must be based in Ohio, New York, California, Washington or Minnesota
If in Cincinnati, this role will have the ability to work in our Cincinnati office with work-from-home/remote options, and up to approximately 20% travel
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range for this role: $80,000 to $87,500

Responsibilities:
Strategic Thinking & Analytical Abilities
Capably leads team, by example, in building and executing on client social media strategies for a variety of projects and types of clients
Deeply understands brand building digital communications programs and the role that social media plays in a customer experience
An experienced leader, directly supports and participates in the creation of content calendars, daily community management, paid social media programs and influencer partnerships on Meta platforms, and LinkedIn.
Effectively partners with Carbonate’s strategy and design teams to write, create and launch custom content
Manages client budgets for paid and influencer campaigns, ensuring accuracy and ROI
Manages project tracking activities including, harvest reporting, updating status reports, meeting agendas, summaries, audits, etc.
Ensures all deliverables are of the highest quality and relevant to the client’s business challenges.
Technical Skills
Utilizes a data-driven approach to social media, using analytics to inform creative direction and to drive account growth and measurable ROI
Adept at project management, supports a healthy workflow for team and accounts
Skillfully navigates and advises on influencer scouting and negotiation
Ensures best-in-class standards of community management
Continually growing in knowledge of the social media landscape and emerging trends.
