The Brief

The signature dining destination at the newly reopened Murrieta Hot Springs Resort in Southern California, Talia, is a refined yet relaxed restaurant where nutritional wisdom meets culinary artistry. The menu highlights local ingredients and nourishing dishes, while the name—meaning "by the water" and "gentle dew from heaven"—reflects a connection to nature's healing properties.

At the heart of the brand is a custom wordmark that blends the precision of ancient Latin letterforms with the elegance of free-flowing water. An illustrated brand mark featuring blooming flora symbolizes the balance and relationship between land and water.

Patterns found throughout the menus and other touchpoints feature hand-drawn block-like shapes and repetitious lines, which echo this harmony and evoke stability while still maintaining a sense of playfulness. An earthy color palette compliments the interiors and surrounding natural environment, with vibrant blue accents that evoke a joyful celebration. Together, these elements invite guests to savor, restore, and connect.
