For over 30 years, the highly regarded Left Bank Brasseries based in the California Bay Area have built a reputation for Parisian-style Brasserie fare, served in charming atmospheres with a healthy dose of fun. When their team conceived an exciting new extension of the Left Bank experience, Petite Left Bank (located in the quaint town of Tiburon), they tapped our team to develop a visual identity that would capture the same lively spirit of the parent brand yet communicate the distinctly unique concept.

With a focus on what has made the Left Bank concepts so successful, our team crafted a visual identity that was vibrant, playful and oozing with French flair. Inspired by vintage hand-painted Parisian storefront signage, a hand-drawn script logo embraces variations and irregularities throughout the letterforms for a charming and relaxed feel. The primary color palette is bright and lively with pops of light blue, yellow and pink, yet remains rooted with classic French blue, red and white supporting colors. Several custom patterns and illustrations bring the brand and playful 'Let's French!' essence to life with dancing pigs, floral motifs and plenty of celebratory champagne icons — because every occasion is one worth celebrating at Petite LB!

With a walk-up take out window to capture ferry riders and other passerbys, the collateral needed to serve as attention-grabbing marketing that would help drive awareness and interest. Special attention was paid to how packaging would best meet the operational needs of both the restaurant and bakery counter. Custom togo bags, a variety of bread bags, stickers, takeout menus, postcards and other touchpoints were specifically designed to utilize the multitude of various brand elements so each piece would feel highly considered, special and unique and ultimately capture what makes a Left Bank experience so memorable and distinct.
