  • Snackpass is an all-in-one digital solution for next-generation restaurants, and a leader in social ecommerce. Snackpass helps restaurants grow their brand by converting anonymous foot traffic into digital followers. Its suite of products includes the world’s first “socially native” POS system, proprietary self-ordering kiosks, and mobile ordering & payment technology, and a popular smartphone app with built-in CRM tools. The app’s unique social networking features and loyalty program make the experience more fun and rewarding for customers. After launching in 2017 and raising more than $25 million in funding, Snackpass retained Carbonate in 2021 to identify key messages and pitch angles that would resonate with media, and position the company and its founders as leaders in the restaurant tech and social ecommerce spaces.

  • Carbonate launched a strategic public relations campaign to drive brand awareness and user acquisition on both the national and local level in January 2021. One of the key successes of the campaign was the company’s Series B funding announcement, which resulted in placements in top publications including TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal, Restaurant Business, Yahoo!, and more. The $70M fundraise was impressive on multiple levels —including the amount of prolific investors and celebrities involved—but the challenge became demonstrating why Snackpass was able to bring in that level of investment. We were able to position Snackpass as the first and only social ecommerce platform that helps restaurants “go viral” and helps customers save time, save money, and connect with their friends. As Snackpass introduced new tech tools, a primary goal became signing additional restaurants onto its platform, and getting new and existing partners to adopt its full suite of products. Carbonate supported this effort by placing coverage in trade publications including Kiosk Marketplace, Fast Casual, Nation’s Restaurant News, QSR, and more; and, securing the Snackpass founders speaking and sponsorship opportunities at marquis industry events.
