Founded in 1958, Yank Sing is a renowned San Francisco third-generation, family-owned dim sum restaurant considered a go-to for locals and visitors alike. Guests enjoy the adventure of this iconic Chinese meal, selecting from over 100 rotating dishes served from traditional pushcarts. While the dining experience has delighted and charmed guests for decades, the Yank Sing team felt the website was in need of a refresh to better convey and communicate the memorable experience their locations are celebrated for.

To help translate the service style and iconic brand, our team designed a website focused on building an intuitive navigation paired with clean, minimalist aesthetics. Additionally, we sought out opportunities to incorporate small touches of surprise strategically designed to mirror elements of the dining experience. A classic red, white and black color palette are complemented with bold, modern typefaces. Custom hand-drawn illustrations were created for a spirited About page that guides visitors through the storied history of the Yank Sing legacy. The Menu page lands on a scrolling carousel of iconic dishes that leisurely roll by much like the pushcarts in the dining room might glide past one's table. Through updated functionality, beautiful new photography, and a cohesive brand vision, Yank Sing's new website delivers a digital experience that represents their distinguished commitment to quality, tradition and hospitality.
